2009-8-3: The Anniversary message delivered by the General Secretary  at Queenstown 168th village anniversary celebration on the 3rd August 2009.

  Chairman, Residence of Queenstown and invitees on behalf of the leader Mr. Raphael Trotman and the national executive committee and the members of the AFC. The Alliance for change is extremely happy to be part of this celebration.

The Alliance for Change recognizes that the establishment of the Queenstown village was the first step taken to ensure the meaningful participation of all its residence in the development and enhancement of the village and preservation of the identity of its residence.

The creation of a just society and democratic values required that every citizen shall have the right to choose its representative  and to participate in the formulation of policies and in all decisions affecting them. To this end the AFC eagerly awaits the holding of the long overdue local Government Elections.

Further the Alliance for change dedicates itself to provide an open and democratic platform upon which free dialogue and participatory action both electoral and non electoral shall be facilitated.

The AFC wishes all the residence of Queenstown village a successful week of celebration.
